Workshop Users Guide

- !!!Use common sense while in shop.!!!

- If you doubt please ask first.
- Shop tools must always be handled in a safe manner (see => Working procedures)
- For safety reasons:
- Never work alone.
- Safety glasses must be worn at all times.
- Always use protection elements. (see => Working procedures)
- No sandals or open toe shoes.
- Long hair must be tied back.
- Loose-fitting clothing is not allowed.
- Do not remove tools from the Shop. If you need tools, they may be checked out, see the Shop Supervisor.
- Tools are to be cleaned and replaced after each use by the user.
- Spills need to be cleaned up immediately.
- Only work related to Institute projects may be performed in the Machine Shop.
- For evening or weekend use see the Shop Supervisor.
- Report safety problems to the Shop Supervisor.
- In an emergency, please dial 0-112.
